How long does The Function Band play for at live band events?
The Function Band’s plays throughout the event from guest entrance to dinner/wedding breakfast, to carriages. The standard performance of The Function Band includes live music as guests enter for dinner with our famous podium set, live music during the meal, and 2 hours of live party sets on top too!
Does the band take requests?
Yes. Before the event, we ask about your musical preferences and incorporate them into the playlist. We will request your ‘must-play’ list and any ‘do-not-play’ songs ahead of time so we can ensure your live band music experience matches your personal taste.
Do I need to book a separate DJ too?
Not necessarily. Many live bands for hire in London, including The Function Band, include a DJ service between and after sets to keep the music flowing when the band isn’t performing. That means you may not need a separate DJ unless you have specific DJ-only requirements (for example a late-night after-party). Clarify this in your package.
